BOTTLING MY HOME BREW

So it’s been a week since I boiled up a batch of beer and the airlock stopped bubbling. Oh and my custom caps from Bottle Mark came in. Here are some process shots I took while bottling my home brew (Honey Dewit).

I’m not sure if it’s gonna hurt anything but I added my bottling sugar after transferring the beer to the bottling bucket. The instructions say to do it before but oh well. I guess we’ll see what we get in 2 weeks.

So the coolest part of this batch was getting some custom caps for the bottles. They were way cheaper than what I thought custom printed caps would be. $7.50 for 60 caps. So far the cheapest way I’ve found to get something that makes the already unique experience of making my own beer even more personalized.
So the (HB) stands for Haus Brew. Emily has a blog called Go Haus Go and since I brew it in her kitchen – or as I call it the brewery – she got some say in naming.

the next step is trying to get some clear stickers to make the bottles look sick.

very cool. Do you have to remove the stickers every time you sanatize for a new batch?
